Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc.I.T.)

In today’s knowledge-based economic system, being able to gain access to the information superhighway is the key to success in the world market. The booming IT job sector in India is a sure indicator that Indian software professionals are highly valued. Keeping in view the fast expanding market for software professionals, the college has started at three - year B.Sc. course in Information technology. This course in IT covers subjects as diverse as programming, algorithms, mathematics, digital electronics, microprocessors, management practices, Web designing, etc. If the student in tends to withdraw admission at S.Y. or T.Y. will have to pay fees for full course.

Introduction :

The course in Bachelor of Science - Information Technology B.Sc. (I.T.) is an integrated course of three years duration (Six semester). After completion of the course, a candidate can enroll for a Post-Graduation of 2 years duration leading to Master of Science in Information technology (M.Sc.I.T.) degree or a 3year post - graduate degree of MCA. Every year most of the students get placement through campus interviews.

Eligibility:

    *    A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course of Bachelor of Science- Information Technology, should have passed XII Standard examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education of its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subject and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate for Open Category and 40% marks in aggregate in case of Reserved category candidates.

    *    Candidate who has passed Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology / Electrical, Electronics & Video Engineering and allied branches / Mechanical and allied branches, civil and allied branches of Engineering after S.S.C. (Xth Standard) is eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of the B.Sc. (I.T.) degree course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required are 45% aggregate for Open Category candidate and 40% aggregate for reserved candidates.

    *    Candidates with post HSC - Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology and allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc. (I.T.). However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required is 45% aggregate for Open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.

Admission:

Eligible candidates will be admitted directly by the college on merit as per the schedule given by University of Mumbai. Reservation of seats will be observed as per government rules. Examination: Examination for Semester I, II, III and IV will be conducted by the College, on behalf of the University of Mumbai, at the end of each semester. Examination for the semester V and VI will be conducted by the university.

12th Passed (Any faculty with minimum 45% for Open Category & 40% for reserved category) Mathematics/Statistics subjects are Compulsory. Repeaters with all subject are allowed.

B. Sc. (Computer Science)





Bachelor of science in computer
science is a 3years full time graduation course. The program is spread over 3years, divided into 6 semesters of six Months each.
Programme Outcomes:
Programme outcomes are a set of competencies which students acquire at the end of graduation. On successful completion, they shall be able to:
1. Apply design and development principles in the construction of software systems of varying complexity.
2. Use appropriate techniques, skills, and tools necessary for computing practice.
3. Apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the discipline.
4. Design, implement, and evaluate a computational system to meet desired needs within realistic constraints.
5. Be adequately motivated to contribute to the development of society.
Eligibility: A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of science (computer science) shall have passed standard XII/10+2 examination ( any stream) from any recognized
education board or it’s equivalent from India or abroad.
This program requires a student to obtain a minimum of 45% for open category and 40% for reserved categories in the standard XII exam.

B. Sc. (Data Science)




Bachelor of science in Data science is A 3-year full time graduation course. The program is spread over 3year, dividend into 6semesters of six months each.

Programme outcomes are A set of companies which students acquire at the end of graduation. On successful completion, they shall be able to:
1. Analyze and interpret data using an ethically responsible approach.

B. Sc. (Aviation)





Bachelor of science in aviation is a 3-year full time graduation course. The program is spread over 3years,
Divided into 6 semesters of six months each.

Programme outcomes are a set of competencies which students acquire at the end of graduation. On successful completion, they shall:
1. Demonstrate and apply appreciate aviation technical applications, problem solving, and critical thinking skills required in industry.
2. Demonstrate multiple communication means specific to aviation maintenance concepts and technical process es using appropriate terms and vocabulary.

B. Sc. (Actuarial Science)





Bachelor of science in actuarial science is a 3years full time graduation course. The program is spread over 3years, divided into 6 semesters of six Months each. This program seeks to provide graducates with the knowledge, skills, and the tools necessary to obtain employment as an actuarial scientist.

B.SC. (Hospitality Studies)





Bachelor of science in Hospitality studies is a 3-year full time graduation course. The program is spread over3 years, divided into 6 semesters of six months each. The course is best suited for whose are seeking a career in the hospitality and services sector. A hospitality studies students will be taught the  process of dealing in reception and treatment of guests.
Programme outcomes are a set of Competencies which students acquire at the end of graduation. On  successful completion. they shall:
1. Have fundamental knowledge  of Hospitality studies.
2. Gain the knowledge and the required  skill standard for functioning of the core departments of any hotel.
3. Possess knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety procedures and methods, appropriate use of common kitchen and dining room management.
4. Develop competency and skill for increased employability.
5. Be adequately motivated to contribute to the development of society.
