About Examination Cell
Overview
The Examination Committee oversees all examination-related activities in the college. It ensures that assessments are conducted smoothly, fairly, and in line with the guidelines of the University of Mumbai.
Objectives

Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and publish examination timetables
- Organize and supervise internal, practical, and semester exams
- Manage confidential work such as question papers and answer books
- Coordinate evaluation and result processing
- Maintain examination records and documentation
- Address student queries, grievances, and revaluation processes
- Conduct ATKT and supplementary examinations
- Liaise with the University for compliance and updates

Rules and Regulation
Examination cell responsibility
- Preparation for smooth conduct of examinations, collection of question papers, proof reading, answer keys, preparation of time table schedules, Invigilation duty chart, Seat allotment in the Examination halls etc.
- To ensure timely communication with the university related to examination work and issues (raising of tickets).
- To communicate instructions effectively to the students through various channels. Such as Emails, notice boards and Institutes Learning Management system
- To conduct Internal Examination, External Examination & Practical Examination (Regular + ATKT) as per academic calendar and carrying out Moderation, Revaluation Process & maintaining record of the same.
- Conduction of Third Year University Examination.
- Uploading of Lower examination marks & Upper Examination marks in Software & Mumbai university Portal.
- Printing and Distribution of marks lists to the students after the declaration of results of various examinations (College & University Level). within 45 days from the completion of examination.
- Preparing Examination Budget & also ensuring adequate stationery is made available and store material securely in a designated area to maintain confidentiality with the support of administration department
- The Exam Committee shall hold a pre-exam meeting to brief the members and faculties with regard to the examination procedures and their role and responsibilities. Maintaining record of the same.
- Preparation of Remuneration bills for College and University Examination.
- Under the guidance of the Chief Conductor, the Exam Cell shall analyse the exam results and the same shall be verified by the respective members of examination cell. After due verification, copies of the result analysis shall be sent to the Authority.
- Timely follow up of Reserve for Lower Examination (RLE) & Reserve provisionally categories of students, unfair means cases of University Examination and other important matter.
- Issuance of Transcript, No Backlog Certificates, Conversion Certificates, and Medium of Instruction certificates etc, filing of documents etc.
- Circulars, Guidelines, Office Order, Notification received by the university of Mumbai are processed in the Examination Cell, after Chief Conductor’s signature dispatched or circulated to the concerned Departments / Students.
Rules for A.T.K.T for UG/PG NEP2020
CARRYFORWARD OF MARKS IN CASE OF A LEARNER WHO FAILS IN THE INTERNAL ASSESSMENT AND/OR SEMESTER-END ASSESSMENT IN ONE OR MORE SUBJECTS:
R – 1
- A learner who PASSES in the Internal Examination but FAILS in the Semester End Examination of the course shall reappear for the Semester End Examination of that course. However, his/her marks on the Internal Examinations shall be carried over and he/she shall be entitled to the grade obtained by him/her on passing.
- A learner who PASSES in the Semester End Examination but FAILS in the Internal Assessment of the course shall reappear for the Internal Examination of that course. However, his/her marks of the Semester End Examination shall be carried over and he/she shall be entitled for the grade obtained by him/her on passing.
RULES FOR PROGRESSION (ALLOWED TO KEEP TERMS – ATKT)
R – 2
For UG programmes:
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of the number of courses of failure in Semester I.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if he/she earns 32 or more Cumulative credits from Semester I & Semester II.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of the number of courses of failure in Semester III.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester V if he/she earns 76 or more Cumulative credits from Semester I, II, III & IV.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep the term for Semester VI irrespective of the Number of courses of failure in Semester V.
- The result of Semester VI shall be withheld by the College till the learner passes all the Semesters from Semesters I to Semesters V.
- A Learner is allowed to take admission in semester VII (UG Hon./PG Part I) only if he passed all courses of semesters I to VI (132 Credits).
R – 3
For PG programmes:
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of the number of courses of failure in Semester I.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if he/she earns 32 or more cumulative credits from Semester I & Semester II.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of the number of courses of failure in Semester III.
