Attendance Rules and Regulations at Shree L. R. Tiwari Degree College of Arts, Commerce and Science

Minimum Attendance Requirement

  1. General Requirement: Students are required to maintain a minimum attendance percentage of 75% (As per Ordinance 0.6086, University of Mumbai) in each subject to be eligible to sit for university examinations. This rule ensures that students engage adequately with their coursework and participate in class activities.
  2. Attendance Records: The College maintains detailed records of student attendance. Students have the right to access these records upon request to verify their attendance status.

Leave of Absence

  1. Medical Leave: Students who need to take leave for medical reasons must submit a medical certificate along with their leave application. The college will review these applications on a case-by-case basis and may grant leave in accordance with college policies.
  2. Special Circumstances: For absences due to extraordinary circumstances such as family emergencies or serious personal issues, students should apply for leave as soon as possible and provide appropriate documentation. The college will consider these cases individually and may grant special leave where justified.

Appeals and Exemptions

  1. Appeal Process: Students who cannot meet the attendance requirement due to valid reasons may submit a formal appeal to the college administration. The appeal should include all relevant documentation supporting the reasons for their absences.
  2. Decision: The college administration will review each appeal on its merits and make decisions based on the provided evidence, University of Mumbai Rules & Regulation and the institution’s policies.
